Baby Gym (Crawling - 17 months) Babies are fantastic, and this is a way to recognize and maximize their potential. We rotate through 2 circuit mazes and finish up with free play, and parents get a chance to interact and socialize with other parents.
Parent & Tot (18 months - 3 yrs.) Toddlers participate with a parent or grandparent in a regular gymnastics class that is developmentally appropriate for their age and attention span. We use this opportunity to begin to teach the social skills of listening to the teacher and learning to focus during the gymnastics class, and finish up with free time in the foam block pit and on the tumble trak.
Preschool Gymnastics (3 - 5 yrs.) This class is for girls and boys, and helps develop strength and coordination through the sport of gymnastics. We teach basic tumbling, and they get to use all the Just For Kids size bars, rings, and balance beams. The sequencing of the circuit mazes helps teach the brain to organize and remember a group of skills, which prepares the brain for the skill of reading. On the floor, gymnasts will learn forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands. On the beams, we will learn many balances and ways of traveling across the beam. Mainly, we're going to have FUN!
Princess Preschool (3 - 5 yrs.) Based on the regular preschool class, but geared for those girls who love to look, listen, and learn! Girls who might be a little shy or quiet can excel in a quieter environment that supports the energy of girls.
Power Preschool (3 - 5 yrs.) No sitting for these boys! We use the natural energy of boys in a positive way during this class. Lots of running, jumping, climbing, and flipping keeps the boys busy during class and tires them out afterward. We use the sport of gymnastics to help develop strength and coordination for other sports.
Kindergym (3 - 5 yrs.) A physical education based preschool program. Children stay for 3 hours, and take a gymnastics class, have free play in our preschool activity room and play outside, do arts and crafts, and learn a lesson about health, safety, or nutrition. We also work on basic letters, numbers, and shapes. Choose Tuesday and/or Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 noon.
Level 1 - 6 (K - 5th) Girls will work on all Olympic events: Floor exercise, balance beam, bars, and vaulting. We also include rhythmic gymnastics, and time on the tumble trak and foam block pits. We use a logical progression of skills to advance the gymnasts in a safe manner.
Boys Gymnastics (K - 5th) Boys use the sport of gymnastics to gain stregth and coordination. Boys learn tumbling skills, and work on the high bar, rings, parallel bars, vaulting table, mini-trampolines, and tumble-trak. All classes get some free time in the foam block pit.
Middle School Gymnastics (6th - 8th) Open to girls and boys. You're never too old for gymnastics, whether you are just beginning or you've taken some classes before. We use all gymnastics equipment.
Tumbling Class (8 yrs - 17 yrs.) Focus on tumbling skills for a mixed class of boys and girls. The last part of class will allow for time on the trampoline, a chance to try the bars and beams, and finish up with a little free time in the foam block pit.
Cheerleading Class (K - 6th) Uniform required. Girls will learn cheers, tumbling, and basic stunting. Our cheerleaders perform all around town! Come join us for some reall fun!
Rhythmic Gymnastics Class (K - 6th) Acrobatics and dance skills, combined with all the rhythmic apparatus: ribbons, hoops, balls, and ropes. Rhythmic gymnastics is all on the floor. This is a great way to get introduced to the beautiful sport of rhythmic gymnastics - many of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Team girls start here.
